Open ARM is an open source project for people with upper body disabilities who may struggle using mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets as well as desktop devices.
The aim is to give people a more affordable and customisable version of the controllers already existing in the market.
The project is released under open source licenses and it is possible to download the list of materials, the code and the 3D files to print from the website. This allows people to build their own controller for their specific abilities and gives makers the opportunity to collaborate, improving the existing controllers and developing new ones. For those who aren’t able to build controllers on their own, it will be possible to buy the readymade kits which just needs to be assembled.
